Dear brothers and sisters,

Time is flying and I am in my third month as your administra- tor. I feel blessed to be with you and be part of this great community. I am really grateful for your support, generosity, and prayer. I pray that God bless you always for your generosity.

I would like to report about what has happened during these two months since I have been your administrator. In the management of the property, with the help of some volunteers, we put a new roof on the convent’s garage, as well as cleaning that area too. For safety purposes we have put new lights outside the school and convent area. Also for security, our Grotto is still 24/7, with the difference that it is open to outside visitors from 6am to 9 pm. However, on the remaining times, only adorers who have a personalized code can come to pray. I want to encourage parishioners to become part of the Adoration Ministry and spend time at night with Our Lord in the Holy Sacrament.

Our Hispanic Committee organized the Pan-American Festival, which was a successful event. The Committee is very grateful to all parishioners, volunteers and all who gave a donation for this event. So as result we have a revenue of almost $14,000. My thanks to the Hispanic Committee for their hard work and dedication and to all of your for your participation.

Our Religious Education Program is run by two volunteers who do a very fine job, Teodula Mondragon and Maria Erazo. I have been working closely with them this year. Thanks be to God, we have almost 300 students in our program. One thing that we implemented this year to increase and encourage the participation of the REP families at Sunday Mass was the use of children’s envelopes. The use of the envelope enables us to check the attendance of the child at Sunday Mass. I am very grateful to the parents for their participation and collaboration in our program.

On October 15, we welcomed the Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima. We had many devotees coming through our doors to show their respect to Our Mother. Also, on the same day we enjoyed our 125th Anniversary Concert. Thank you to Luis Galvez and Johanna Ortegon for this wonderful concert, and to all the musicians and alumni. May the Lord bless all you for your generosity and talents. I also extend my thanks to Mrs. JoAnne Festle, Hilda Correa and all the volunteers who helped with the school reunion. Your hard work, dedication and love for your parish are well received and honored. God bless you all.

That is all for now. I hope you have a wonderful week. Remember to pray for our parish staff; our deacons, Leo and Daniel; Fr. Dominic and me ... your servants.
