First Communion for Children
The Religious Education Program of Our Lady of Lourdes prepares children for the sacrament of the First Holy Communion when the child is 7 years or older. Children of any age who have not yet received First Holy Communion are welcome and receive preparation with students of a similar age. The child must have already received the Sacrament of Baptism prior to preparing to receive First Holy Communion. For more information, please contact Maria Erazo at the rectory at 773-561-2141 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
First Communion for Adults
Adults receive preparation to celebrate the Sacrament of the Eucharist in a special program known as the Rite for the Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A). This program begins every year at the parish in September and concludes in May. The Archdiocese of Chicago Office for Evangelization also offers a program for adults on an occasional basis. For more information, please contact the rectory at 773-561-2141 or email@example.com.
