Do you know how to wash dishes? Open cans? Put food on a plate? Serve juice? Sweep the floor? No special skills are required to help feed the homeless and working poor. We serve an average of 200 hundred people every Wednesday. Preparation begins at 3:30 p.m.; and we serve from 5:30– 6:30 p.m.; clean up is usually finished by 8 p.m.—if we have enough help! THANK YOU very much for the wonderful support of the volunteers who are working at our Soup Kitchen every week! We are blessed with help right now. The ministry could also use donations right now of supplies ( i.e., small 6 oz. bowls , 6 in. plates, plastic utensils, paper napkins, 8 in. coffee cups, etc.) or monetary funds to help our supply budget. The numbers are still being added up, but it is already abundantly clear  that this year's event on February 10th set records in every category. The dinner sold the most tickets ever (over 370), as did the raffle (almost 4,000). Most importantly, this year's Dinner Dance will net the parish over $42,000 in badly needed funds. The parish thanks the committee for its incredibly hard work and the committee thanks all of our wonderful parishioners and friends who supported this event to such a strong degree. It proves once again what a loved and loving community participates here at Our Lady of Lourdes.
